Choosing a Breeder

As reputable breeders, we take pride in showing families our dogs and the environment they’re raised in. We require visitors to meet our pups in person, and pleases know we ask a lot of questions—because it's important to us that your lifestyle, experience with dogs, and overall mindset are a good match for the breed and the specific puppy you’re considering. Please also understand that although we are more than happy to take your specific puppy preference in mind we will prioritize the selection for you based on your needs and desires. Working with these puppies and dogs in general for many years has given us a leg up on understanding temperament and personality and we would like you to benefit from that.
Our puppies are raised inside our home where they become familiar with everyday household sounds like the phone, dishwasher, pots and pans, the doorbell, oven timer, and the rhythm of people coming and going. This helps prepare them for real-life family settings, and they receive lots of hands-on socialization from day one from both young and old. Often our puppies will have made a school or church visit with young people prior to being placed in your home.
We breed only Golden Retrievers because we believe in truly knowing and honoring the breed. We’re active a Code of Ethics. We’re always happy to talk openly about our breeding practices—how often we breed, at what age our females are bred, and how we raise each litter with care and intention. We never breed our dogs until they are sexually and physically mature, and we retire them at a responsible age based on their health and well-being.
We’ll never place a puppy without first meeting you—or having someone we trust meet you—and we ask that we stay in touch. We love receiving updates and photos as your puppy grows. And if at any point you can no longer keep your dog, we require that you return them to us or work with us so we can ensure they’re rehomed properly.
