About Our Program
Why Oregon families choose a health-tested breeder
Hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, and hereditary eye conditions all run in the Golden Retriever breed, and the only way to lower the risk is to breed from parents who have been screened for them. Our foundation dam Rosie carries published OFA clearances — hips (GR-144035F25F-C-VPI), elbows (GR-EL63809F25-C-VPI), and a CAER eye exam — and her complete four-generation AKC pedigree is published right here on the site. You can verify every number yourself at ofa.org. No mystery lineage, no “just trust us.”
How far is Boring from Portland?
About half an hour — Boring sits roughly 20 miles southeast of downtown Portland on Highway 212, just past Gresham and Happy Valley. Families come to us from across the metro: Portland, Gresham, Happy Valley, Sandy, Estacada, Oregon City, Clackamas County, and Vancouver, Washington. You’re welcome to visit and meet our dogs before you ever commit to anything.
What comes with a Nextgen Goldens puppy?
Every puppy goes home at eight weeks or later with a veterinary exam, age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming, a microchip, complete health records, a written health guarantee, and lifetime breeder support. Just as important is what happens before pickup: our puppies are whelped and raised inside our home, handled every day, and introduced to the sounds and rhythms of family life — visitors, kids, vacuum cleaners and all — before they ever leave us.
How does the waitlist work?
Five steps: apply, talk with us, reserve your spot with a deposit, choose your puppy once the litter arrives, and bring your Golden home at eight weeks. Litters are limited and placed in order, so joining the waitlist early is the best way to reserve your family’s spot. The whole process is explained in our waitlist guide.
